Education - A Continuous Process. IGNOU Assignment. kexam

From the layman's point of view, education is limited to the experiences provided in schools, colleges and other such institutions.
However, from a broader perspective, educative process never reaches any terminal point. Education is neither limited to a classroom or institution nor limited to a specific period of life.
Rather, education is a continuous and lifelong process, it goes from birth to death.

The classification of different stages of education viz. K.G., primary, secondary
etc. and the categorization of different agencies of education such as schools,
colleges, Universities etc. are there only for mere convenience in administration management.

Technically, it may be correct to say that you have finished your education up to graduation or post-graduation but it is certainly incorrect to assume that one's education can reach some terminal end point after obtaining the highest degree ever conferred by any educational institution. Education is never complete. There is always something left to learn. Throughout life one goes on learning.

Unfortunately however, not only laymen but also the people in the field of academics often carry the misconception of education as terminal. To liinit the
meaning of education to some fixed duration of instruction, fixed content and fixed method of assessment and evaluation is nothing but demeaning the very spirit of education as a libcral act. Just as knowledge has no boundary and is vast, education cannot be limited to any fixed curriculum and specific programme offered in the so-called Ivory Towers.
