1. Keystone species: The species which have great influence on the community characteristics relative to their low abundance or biomass are called keystone species. The activity of keystone species determine the structure of the community. 
2. Biomagnification: It refers to increase in the concentration of toxicant at successive trophic levels
3. Field Capacity: Field Capacity is the amount of soil moisture or water content held in the soil after excess water has drained away and the rate of downward movement has decreased.
4. Ecological Pyramids: An ecological pyramid is a graphical representation designed to show the biomass or bioproductivity at each trophic level in a given ecosystem. 
5. Niche: It can be described as the overall position of an organism or population in its habitat like how an organism or population responds to the distribution of resources and competitors and how it in turn alters those same factors.
