BHARATMALA (budget – 5,35,000 Cr.)

Ministry of Road Transport & Highway
The project will build highways from Gujarat and Rajasthan, move to Punjab and then cover the entire string of Himalayan states - Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and then portions of borders of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar alongside Terai, and move to West Bengal , Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and right up to the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur and Mizoram.
  • Special emphasis will be given on providing connectivity to far-flung border and rural areas including the tribal and backward areas.

Connect 550 district headquarters (from current 300) to minimum 4-lane highway by raising the number of corridors to 50 (from current 6) and move 80% freight traffic (40% currently) to national highways by connecting 24 logistics parks, 66 inter-corridors (IC) of total 8,000 km (5,000 mi), 116 feeder routes (FR) of total 7,500 km (4,700 mi) and 6 7 north east multimodal waterway ports.


PMAY (budget – 27505 CR.)

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • Target of building 20 million affordable houses by 31 March 2022.
  • Two components: Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) (PMAY-U) for the urban poor and Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin) (PMAY-G and also PMAY-R) for the rural poor.
  • This scheme is converged with other schemes to ensure houses have a toilet, Saubhagya Yojana electricity connection, Ujjwala Yojana LPG gas connection, access to drinking water and Jan Dhan banking facilities, etc.


SAUBGHYA / PMSBHGY (budget – 16000 Cr.)

  • Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana is an Indian government project to provide electricity to all households.
  • The beneficiary household will get five LED lights, one AC fan, one AC power plug. It also includes the Repair and Maintenance (R&M) for 5 years.


e-NAM (budget – 2000 Cr.)
Launched – 14 apr 2016
Ministry of Agriculture Government of India 
  • A national e-market platform for transparent sale transactions and price discovery initially in regulated markets.
  • Liberal licensing of traders / buyers and commission agents by State authorities without any per-condition of physical presence or possession of shop /premises in the market yard.
  • One license for a trader valid across all markets in the State.
  • Single point levy of market fees, i.e. on the first wholesale purchase from the farmer.
  • Provision of Soil Testing Laboratories in/ or near the selected mandi to facilitate visiting farmers to access this facility in the mandi itself. M/s. Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. is the Strategic Partner (SP) who is responsible for development, operation and maintenance of the platform.
